Next Emergent meeting:

There will NOT be an Emergent meeting on Thursday, 1 April because the Candidate is not ready. However, we are planning a double Second Degree for the Emergent Night in May, which falls on 6 May. The candidates will be Bros Clarke and St. Pierre.

Next regular meeting:

Our next Regular Meeting will be on Thursday, 15 April. This will be "Election Night", when we will be voting on the senior officers for the coming Masonic year. We will also be doing a First Degree to initiate Mr. O'Neil Brooke.

News from the Regular Meeting  18 February 2010

Because our Regular Meeting in March meeting fell in the "March Break" of Ottawa schools, some of our officers were away.  The WM was in London England and the Secretary was down in Kilmarnock, VA, building another Habitat for Humanity house. Nevertheless, the meeting wasably managed by the SW, WBro Pepper, sitting in the East, and the secretarial functions were done by Bro Martineau.   The work of the evening was Masonic Education, under the tutelage of RWBro Harbert.  We also balloted on the Petition of Mr. O'Neil Brooke and the Application for Affiliation of WBro Mark Paine, with the ballots being favourable to both applicants.

We were honoured to have our Grand Master, MWBro Paul E. Todd attend our Installation this year.  In addition to participating in the installation of WBro Ernest Nelson as our WM for the 2018-19 Masonic Year, the Grand Master presented VWBro Cal Bellamy with his Veteran Jubilee Medal commemorating 50 years as a Mason.  WBro Jean-Fran├žois Legault did a splendid job as Installing Master;  RWBro Peter Harbert did the General Charge.  As can be seen by the photo below, a large percentage of our membership and many visitors attended.

This event closed out the 2017-18 Masonic year, a year which saw much innovation, and the enthusiastic participation of most of our members in many successful meetings, and social events.  The outgoing WM, WBro Jeff Hawkins got a well-deserved standing ovation following his brief remarks, after passing on the WM's collar.

The pre-meeting banquet was a splendid roast beef dinner.   Olive Nelson prepared another array of delicious hors d'oeuvres, which were eagerly consumed by everyone who attended, prior to sitting down for the banquet.   Once again there was a very special cake to commemorate the event (see photo), but this time it was Ernest and Olive's Daughter who created it.
